A short story and poetry activity based on the songs of Abba |
[Embed For Use By Upgraded+] Tiger featured on the 1976 album Arrival. The song is a relative unknown, largely because it was buried on side two of the original LP between the even less well known “Why Did It Have to Be Me?” and, rather bizarrely, the title track “Arrival”. The only popular song on side two of the LP was “Money, Money, Money”, and there have been instances of original LPs being found in second hand shops here in the UK where the vinyl is more worn down where “Money, Money, Money” is than on the rest of side two. Tiger was never released as a single, and as far as I know, it was never even featured on the B-side of a single. It continued to be part of the album through all of its many re-releases. Lyrics The city is a jungle, you better take care Never walk alone after midnight If you don't believe it you better beware of me I am behind you, I always find you, I am the tiger People who fear me never go near me, I am the tiger The city is a nightmare, a horrible dream Some of us will dream it forever Look around the corner and try not to scream it's me I always find you, I am the tiger People who fear me never go near me, I am the tiger Yellow eyes are glowing like the neon lights Yellow eyes the spotlights of the city nights I always find you, I am the tiger People who fear me never go near me, I am the tiger The city is a prison, you never escape You're forever trapped in the alleys Look into the shadows and you'll see the shape of me I always find you, I am the tiger People who fear me never go near me, I am the tiger Yellow eyes are glowing like the neon lights Yellow eyes, the spotlights of the city nights I always find you, I am the tiger People who fear me never go near me, I am the tiger And if I meet you, what if I eat you, I am the tiger I am behind you, I'll always find you, I am the tiger Tiger, tiger, tiger ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
