iKïyå§ama, I have completed My Challenge as Lady Julia Blunt for Round 34. I trust tagging you will suffice to let you know. Review of "Bet and the Stranger" Invalid Review Review of "Westerns" Review of "A Lesson in Humility" Review of "Lost and Found" ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆
▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ According to: http://www.sptddog.com/sotp/duke.html John Wayne had 84 Westerns: 1930-1939 ▼ 1940-1949 ▼ 1950-1959 ▼ 1960-1969 ▼ 1970-1976 ▼ Most (if not all) are also listed here: "John Wayne Westerns" ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ I watched "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" on Netflix tonight (6/2/16). It starred John Wayne as Tom Doniphon, Jimmy Stewart as Ransom Stoddard and Lee Marvin as Liberty Valance. Ransom Stoddard, a politician who'd built his career on the foundation of taking down the bad guy Liberty Valence, comes back to town for Tom Doniphon's funeral. While there, he shares the real story about that fateful day. Tom (John Wayne) called Ranse (Jimmy Stewart) "Pilgrim". It is the first movie in which Wayne calls someone that well-known moniker. It is, perhaps, one of only two. The movie was slow moving. I pretty much knew where it was headed. While watching it, I found and read a synopsis and googled for information about Wayne's use "Pilgrim". ▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆▆ ~ ~ ~ JESUS is LORD! ~ ~ ~ |
