Poetry Forum

Hey everyone! I was visiting the group page when I came across this forum. I have recently been REALLY "poetry crazy", I guess, writing about 3 poems a week or at least drafting that many. However, none have won any contests and I'm not sure I'm doing it right and unsatisfied with some of my lines. So in short, does anyone have any criteria or method for editing and/or writing poems? What should a writer look for while editing/writing poetry? What should be deleted and what should be kept?
