I'm finding that books I love, and very much enjoy, are not necessarily well-written! TELL instead of SHOW, lots of dialogue tags, heavy use of adverbs. Yet I still love the story, or characters, or suspense...whatever. I can overlook sub-par writing when other stuff is just so good.
