Dearest Kat,

Indeed! Not everyone wants the tough love. My time constraints force me to do what I recommend, start with a little imo truth and see what the reaction is. Authors who want to improve will appreciate insight from another perspective and will likely be the sort who might help in return. That is who's insights would in turn be valuable.

Since that is the only kind of valuable review (unless you suffer with self-esteem issues) things sort themselves out.

At least that's what I think.
