Glad you found this helpful. Personally, I have never felt a moment's worry over being "out there." Friends and family have been telling me what a talented writer I am for decades. I took that with a grain of salt, as that's what friends and family are supposed to do. But when the many varied readers, strangers to me, on WdC and Goodreads, and later the steampunk specialists of The Steampunk Empire, agreed with that assessment, that gave me the confidence to go ahead. My reviews on Amazon.com continue in that vein, and the series is proceeding apace. The second book is finished, awaiting only a professional cover for release, and the third is well into the development process. You are absolutely right, once complete strangers find merit in your work, there is no turning back!
