Very good observation Emeraldawn. The Native American way is always about action as opposed to non-action or reaction. It's about responsibility and respect. It empowers a person because he or she makes the decision to do the right thing rather than being told what not to do in a demanding way; which it's true that it turns people off.

We are naturally spirits within that yearn to be free and have the freedom to choose. When we know what is right in our hearts, we will most likely do the right thing because it makes us feel much better than doing that which we know in our hearts is wrong.

It is our actions that can bring either positive or negative results, and our decision to choose wisely.
