with my head in the clouds-
wishing on stars-
that cover me with shrouds-

in the powers that be-
the power of the pen-
and the forces of the sea-

I will always be a perfectionist-
striving on critique-
whether my works be of love-
or sci-fi and mystique-
For I Am A Poet.

I will always remember moments-
thriving on experience-
I keep in mind the days of past-
when life brought me indifference-
For I Am A Poet.

I will always know death-
in this infamous way-
knowing his thrill-
of killing his prey-
For I Am A Poet.

I will always know passion-
on paper I show it-
through my rambles, and rants-
