Yeah, but figuring some of my other totems is kind of hard. I love all animals, like I said, and it's kind of difficult to weed out the ones that are special to me because they are a favorite and the ones that are just... well, special in a different way. I've had a long lived aversion to spiders. When I was a kid, i was sitting on an old picnic table in my back yard, and felt something crawling on my leg. It was a large, dark spider, and I screamed and kicked my legs, sending the spider flying before running into my house, crying. They just really give me the creeps! Also, when I was little, I witnessed a spider crawling into my little brother's ear. I never saw it come out, and that frightened me. I mean, I'm older now, and know it must have come out or something, but still, pretty creepy. At summer camp, the boys kept pulling the legs off of daddy long leg spiders and throwing them at me. It was so gross how they were still twitching. Excuse me, while I go shudder in disgust at the memory. Also, I have an aversion to worms. Probably having to do with people putting them in my hair when i was little or throwing them at me. They are so gross feeling and I don't even like looking at them. It frustrates me to no end when my mother says that snakes feel the same as worms and that she doesn't understand why I like snakes, and hate worms. Ha, when I was a kid, i was kind of a tomboy. I was playing in mud with the frogs, climbing trees with the geckos, catching grasshoppers and not really having an interest in anything other girls my age were interested in. I preferred my brother's dinosaur toys to barbies and would rather adventure outside than have a 'teaparty' or play dress-up. |
