Noticing Newbies

Hello,

I'm a newbie to the site and just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Unfortunately I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to tell you.

I'm currently writing a book, never attempted anything like this before. I've written short stories before for fun or for school assignments and when I say short I'm talking like two pages at most. So needless to say I'm more than a little unsure of what I'm doing.

I joined this group to hopefully get some tips and tricks from those who have know far more than I do (which is pretty much anybody) and maybe someday be helpful to someone myself.
