Good practice, and it truly works! Another thing I learned to do through the Stress Clinic, is to pay attention to the thoughts that pop into your head. You will really be surprised at the numerous thoughts that pop in and out of your mind, all day, everyday! It's crazy! And the thoughts we have truly effect our mood, emotional well-being and our physical health. When you notice you are thinking a negative thought, change it to a positive outcome. If you are in a state of mind, where you truly cannot think of a way to change it to a positive thought, just start singing a song that you enjoy. Do this every time you have a negative thought. After you continue to do this over and over, you'll actually train your brain to curve negative thinking. Another way is wearing a rubber band around your wrist. When you think a negative thought, pop yourself with the rubber band. Your brain will start to associate negative thinking with physical pain, and try to protect itself by stopping the negative thoughts when they began. Both ways truly work. I like the replacing the negative with the positive. When I'm in a really bad space, I'll just replace the negative thought, repeating: "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus..." It works for me! ** Image ID #2005478 Unavailable ** Invalid Photo #1035829
