Eh, you learn to live with it. One of the other nice things about Duotrope is that is gives you an average of how long to expect for each market. After that reasonable amount of time has passed, I usually withdrawal and move on. Also, that's where simultaneous submissions come in handy. If you can have the same poem or short story out at two or three places at the same time, the waiting isn't so agonizing.
