Noticing Newbies

I'm really bad at first impressions, so forgive me if I'll sound like the type of person you would want to run away from as soon as you can.

I'm Sociohat, a teenager who just happens to be serious about writing. I live in the Philippines, where the percentage of avid readers is so low that I might as well spout out some Monty Python references and people might think that I'm quoting Shakespeare. That percentage is growing, but novels pandering to the LCD demographic isn't really saying much. But I digress.

I don't really know how to word this properly without sounding like an 8-year-old, but I dream of becoming a celebrated author. See what I mean? 8-year-old.

So, anyway, nice to meet you all! I really do hope that I grow as writer in my stay here, and I hope that I'll stay here for a long while.
