Rec Room

If I had a time machine..... hmm, I would visit the Middle Ages maybe even the Dark Ages and tour Europe. I'd search through all the castles 'til one could be found with a decent secret passage way. Perhaps I would meet Joan of Arc and save her from execution. Or perhaps I would convince the whole world that the earth was round before Columbus was even born. I might even find Lancelot (now hermit) and chide him for bringing about the ruin of King Arthur's court if, of course, he ever was real.

After my adventures in Europe I would head to a more modern time. I think the early twentieth century sounds best. I'd shake hands with President Roosevelt and with Eleanor too. I'd sign up for the French resistance, but I would fall in love with a German soldier. I'd meet Walt Disney, Bing Crosby, Dick Van Dyke, and Julie Andrews. But best of all, I would meet John Ronald Reuel Tolkien, and we would have long chats over afternoon tea or second breakfast until he would answer all my questions and promise to finish writing his books before he died.

If I had a time machine that's what I would do.
