Finally got my two main characters together!
Last night, at 9600 words or so (I have written 10,400 words so far), I finally managed to introduce my male main character to my female main character *Inlove* It is an alternate history set in a counterfactual 1968 France, but there is a love story as well as political intrigue: http://nanowrimo.org/participants/gentillylace/novels/come-to-stay

I was just surprised that it took so long for my two main characters to meet! How have your characters surprised you so far?
