Ditto. For the first-time novelists, I can understand why avoiding looking back can be important. But I do what I need to do, no matter what the NaNo site or anyone else says. For me, the idea is to write the novel as fast as I can and finish it during the month. That, I've done four times already using my own ways. Although I am not making any major revisions, I look over what I have written for the day and fix little things that may hinder the real editing later. For example, sometimes I type the same word twice or totally miss writing a word. Especially those missed words can be difficult to remember later on. If I decide to do something with the work later, I don't want the editing to weigh too heavily on me. ![Seasonal--2022 [#1959757]
