Novel Writing Brainstorming Forum

I am so frustrated right now. I know where I want to go in this. I know what I want to do in this. I know what's supposed to happen to get there. And I can't frelling get there! *headdesks* I'm afraid to try writing ahead because I did that last year, and I didn't finish because I got caught up in the whole "let's write random scenes that could sort of fit into the story but probably don't but hey it's a random scene!" and that just...didn't work very well.

I suppose it does not help right now my protagonist is...not a good person, and he does not good things.
