I've hit the same thing! That's why I'm in here now...
I was okay writing the prologue, and first chapter, I've hit the second chapter now and also hit a writers block. Last night, it was such a struggle getting the words out and they didn't express what I wanted to say at all.
I did hit a hiccup with the first chapter. I had the same awful writers' block feeling and discovered it was due to writing in a strictly chronological sense. What finally managed to overcome it was by writing the chapter scenes out of order, and focusing on the feeling in that scene / paragraph.
But it's not working with the second chapter. I was thinking of structuring it in a motivation-reaction sequence? Anyone else with ideas of different approaches to writing we can try?
