This is now done! More info in "Note: We had a request for "Thread Locking" over..."...

Any issues or problems, please let me know. It wasn't a hard thing to add, but the number of places it needs to be checked between threaded and unthreaded views turned out to be a few. It's entirely possible I missed one or two places and a lonely reply link or box would be in any areas I missed for a locked thread. *Wink*
