Noticing Newbies

Welcome to WDC, Joshua.

This is a good place to get a varied set of reviews on writing. Granted it does take a bit of searching to find reviewers for items over 10,000 words but there are so many on the site if you make the effort you can find some good people with great advice on stories.

Publication is a challenge. One piece advice I would give, something I heard on a podcast once is this: As a write it is not our job to reject a story. Leave that to the publishers. But you're also off to a great start. Many of us haven't submitted yet and so it's great you can take that step. Now you just have to figure out how to keep sending it out and finding other places for the story before doing an overhaul. Keep up the determination and you will get there.
