We like it hot and sexy! |
Sorry it took me so long to make a comment - but ironically, I was reading a paranormal m/m romance novel when you asked this question and within a few chapters came a cross a scene where the author kept the paranormal character (a merman) in merman form while having sex on the beach with his human partner. Frankly, it was bizarre and not sexy or romantic in the least to me. Perhaps too much information of the actual sex act - but this was not an erotic novel per se, but a m/m romance novel. I was so turned off, I quit reading. I simply couldn't get past the image of a man getting screwed by a man-fish with a HUGE wopper that came out of folds in his scales...yes, it read that badly....frankly I kept thinking beastiality. So, I tend to agree with TimM. You should consider handling the sexual act itself in a way that doesn't seem like a boy having intercourse with a grown woman. And, I think you would get into trouble attempting to publish with most reputable publishers.
