Random secrets from Storm Machine ![]() ![]() but first, a random tidbit. I have a lot of concentration, determination and ambition. Crys-not really here ![]() What I do with my kids is distract them into take naps or quiet time. I even gave Tempest the iPad a few days ago (though it was on airplane mode and doesn't allow in-app purchases) just to keep her quiet and out of my hair. I turn down distractions and write like everything, plus I can type at least 100 wpm. It also helps that I try to prep myself for the writing ahead when they're awake or whatever about five minutes before. This year I've figured out how to outline in order to make it work for me. It's going like gangbusters! When the kids go to bed at night, I pull out the netbook and I sprint again. Most of my words come out of the sprints, though I do some outside of that. I also procrastinate away my house work and any other chores I can get away with not doing until after November. What can you do for some quiet time? Anything you can manage, I hope you make it work. From all the messages I've read (and I've read them all in this thread) I really want to read this novel when you finish it. ![]() |
