I haven't read it either. I don't have to. I just have one suggestion. Don't worry about what you've written already. Just commit yourself to writing the novel you want to write from now on. Your characters WILL do whatever they want! Going along for the ride is part of the fun. You've already pointed out where the flaws in the story are, so just do the opposite of what you've been doing. Move forward, forward, forward, and don't look back. I know its counter intuitive, but NaNo really is about getting the words out. Don't edit or delete anything you've written, just keep doing. I know it's hard to keep going when you feel like you've written crap. What would happen if you'd take an hour or a half hour and brainstorm where your novel could go from here? There's no rule saying you can't do that, and I bet once you do, and once you get over this hump, you'll find yourself regaining enthusiasm. I'd say good luck, but you don't need it. You just need to regain your enthusiasm in your own story. You have already decided this story needs to be told, so remind yourself why. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
