A nano place to chat about NanoWrimo... |
Hey Shadowpup. To answer your question. Yes, you did it the right way. Don't worry about your word count or keeping up with the insane ones of us. Competition helps keep me motivated, but its as much a joke as anything. If I stay in <shudders> fifth place then I do. However I am banking that those ahead of me do not intend to write 150k words. I have won Nano so many times now that 50k isn't a challenge and won't even come close to being enough words to finish my story. So I shoot for something that is closer to a actual full length novel. Just keep writing, is a good moto. If you make it great! If you hit a stride and end up beating me to number 1 (and it happened last year. I don't remember who it was that came from behind but someone did) then that will be awesome too. But, that isn't what this is about. The extra challenge was just to help motivate, not discourage. If it discourages you then ignore me please. What I said about competition is pointless and I don't recommend anyone try to keep up unless they have already won Nano at least once. Preferably people wait until they have won twice and have written at least 75 k and know they can do that much. Otherwise, it isn't a fair competition. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** "Invalid Item" "WdC SuperPower Reviewers Group" "Invalid Item" Check out my Rising Stars Bookiemonster ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
