It depends on what you want to get out of the site. If writing to you is more of a hobby, I'd go with basic or upgraded, if you're serious about it, go with upgraded and above. With the upgraded membership comes features like creating books and a porfolio max of 250. It's good for just about anyone. I'm an upgraded member and I think it's great!
