All of what everyone has said is very true but let me add the one positive to this whole thing. It trains us for the real world. People are far worse when you have your story for sale on Barnes and Nobel or Amazon. They just sit behind their computers and say whatever cruel words come to their mind just because they can with no reprocutions. Here's my very first review I ever recieved on a story I had for sale on Barnes and Noble. Boring. 13 pages long. My 2 year old could have written it. i gave 1 star because it does not let you give 0. Granted, it was a short story but it was for sale for $.99. This hurt more than I expected it to. From then on my wife filters my comments so I don't have to read the words of jerks. So my advice is to suck it up and move on. And remember, always act professionally. A pissing match never solved anything. In some cases it ended up hurting the author more than it did the faceless reviewer. I know coffee offered three options but really if we can't say anything nice, then just say "thanks for reading my work and taking the time to respond." End of story. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** "Invalid Item" ![]() Check out the PsychoKitty Publications ![]() |
