Hi Mystic,

Well, I finished the book. My son visited me in the hospital and saw the book laying around. He's watching the HBO series, but he's also an avid reader. I was happy to pass it on to him. Actually, the whole transition of ownership seemed preordained.

I'm happy I read the book; the writing is astounding. However, I don't feel compelled to buy any subsequent installments. It was confusing in many parts, especially because he had two "Jon" characters, and a Tyron and Tyrion as two more major characters. I try to keep my character names vastly different so the reader can enjoy the story without stopping and wondering which character I'm working through.

Dany was my favorite. Who can forget what she did, oh wait, you did not finish it yet... lol
