That's a beautiful verse to memorize! My 9th grade English teacher started me off memorizing. We had to memorize and recite in front of the class either "Death, Be Not Proud" by John Donne, or "Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer's Day". I went with the darker one, of course. :) But, most of the poems have now escaped my mind. Unless I dig up one of the poems again. Then I can sort of anticipate the next line, which is still pretty fun. Non-fiction can be really interesting! I would never have thought I would say that, but now that I've been exposed to well-written non-fictions piece, I can't stop. I can barely put non-fiction down even for a tantalizing piece of fiction. I don't write much of it, but I'm ready to soak up all that information anytime. :p I don't wake up in the middle of the night for writing, but often when I'm falling asleep I'll think of amazing lines. It's actually sort of frustrating, because I know if I don't turn my light back on and scribble it down it'll be lost by the morning -- when all I want to do is sleep! But, it'd be way more frustration to wake up in the morning and search helplessly for that line again. :p |
