Hi, new friends in the Coffee Lounge General About Questions: Call me Jeanie, but mharris is my email name. I’m female, 66 years old and retired, widow. I found Writing.Com by accident. I was trying to learn more about writing. I found I.N.K.E.D. because some nice person invited me to the Coffee Lounge. Writing Questions: My favorite authors are Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, Paul, Isaiah, Jeremiah and many other Bible prophets. Christian writers Derek Prince, J. R. Church, Gary Stearman, Mike Murdock, Kay Arthur, Mike Murdock Classics – Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, etc. I will read Classic Fiction, but I don’t like fiction. I like non-fiction writing. Magazine articles and novels are my genres that interest me. By being on Writing.Com I hope to learn to write a fiction novel for the first time in my life. I like reviewing the Newbies and reading their work. Other members can help me with almost anything and some have already helped. I’m not qualified to give writing advice and so far I don’t think I’ve received the best piece of advice. My favorite quote is from the Bible, “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.” Goofy or Just for Fun Questions: Mauve pink is my favorite color. If I had only 24 hours to live, I would spend it with my family If the whole world were listening, I would say: “We are not given a spirit of fear, but of power, and love and a sound mind.” “Perfect love casts out fear, because fear has torment.” Jesus is perfect love and He is the Creator of mankind. We have a world on Prozac, Valium, Zoloft and horrible depression drugs because of anxiety, fear, bipolar disorders, and many mental illnesses. The root cause is fear. Whether it be fear of self, fear of others, or fear of surroundings, the root cause of mental illnesses is fear and the battlefield is in the mind. We need to guard our tongue, what we say, we need to guard our ears, what we hear and we need to guard our eyes, what we see. We can’t continue to put bad fruit in our body and expect good fruit to come out. We can’t associate with all the evil in the world and expect that we are not giving an invitation to evil. Our children are suffering because of the bad choices of the parents. We have a society in moral deterioration and good people are doing nothing to stop it. We have a world that says we must tolerate everything, but the Lord didn’t. It is God who set the laws of nature (physics) and it is God who set the laws for mankind. When we do not listen to God, a curse will come upon us. It is amazing to me that people have all these fears that require these mind blocking drugs, but they do not fear God. God is to be feared. If they feared God, none of these others fears would come upon them. The words of poor Job in the Book of Job in the Bible says, “Even though He slay me, I will trust Him.” Man is without excuse not to believe in God or trust God. And there is only One true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob whose Son is Jesus the Christ or God in human flesh that dwelt among us 2000 years ago. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah that God is the Potter and we are the clay. God can make good pots and God can make bad pots. (God created both good and evil) But the clay cannot say to the Potter anything, because without the Potter he would neither have the ability to say anything nor could he exist to say anything. (All good gifts come from above) Scripture tells us that everything is held together by God’s power. Science tells us that everything is made of many tiny little particles. This has been in the Bible at least two thousand years, Hebrews 11:3 KJV “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (are visible). Tiny particles (nanotechnology) and this has been in Scripture over two thousand years. Jesus said when He walked the earth that He didn’t come to bring peace to us, but a sword. That He would set brother against brother. One would believe in Him and one would not. We see this today in a heightened way. Christ warned us that we would be hated because He is hated. We are hated as Christians for the name of Christ. God said He would bring this world down to a Valley of Decision and He would force mankind to choose either His ways or man’s ways. And God will do this when He pleads for His people, Israel. We see this storm a coming. Only an unlearned person could not see it brewing with all that is going on in the Islamic nations and the Islamic nations’ great hatred toward Israel. The Lord has warned us from the beginning that He would bless those who bless Israel and He would curse those who curse them. God can do whatever He pleases to His people, but mankind cannot. He warned all of mankind about Israel because God used Israel as an example for the rest of us to show us what happens to a nation that forgets God. Even though Israel has forgotten their God, their God has not forgotten His promises to them. That’s why my Lord is so wonderful. He doesn’t lie. The prophets of God have never been wrong. God promised He’d bring His people back to their land and make them a nation in one day, speaking their original language and they’d fly back to their land. On May 14, 1948, they were made a nation in one day. They returned on airplanes that are only one hundred years old even though this was written in the Bible thousands of years ago. And all returning Jews must learn the Hebrew language. Stephen Hawking recently on a show called Curiosity let the world know that the universe did not need God to be created. This is a bold, arrogant statement by a mere man. Especially since God says that He holds it all together by His power. Colossians 1:16-17 KJV “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers, all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.” The Holy Spirit is telling us both visible and invisible in the entire universe were created through this same Jesus, the Eternal Word. John 1:1-17 tells us who the Eternal Word is. Lambert Dolphin said that, “We may think of the universe and its intricate design as being conceived in the mind of the Father then spoken into existence by the Son (who makes the invisible, visible). Also he said “The Holy Spirit is the One who energizes and supplies life to the creation, not only at the time of creation but also moment by moment after that and now. We are told Christ Jesus is “the heir of all things” and Dolphin says “That means we are house guests in Someone Else’s universe. There is a future accountability to be given by all of us…history is headed somewhere and at the end of the road stands Jesus to whom all power and authority has already been given. I agree with Dolphin. I only use his statements because I cannot say them any better. Scientists say that in the atom’s nucleus are strong and weak forces. This is the nucleur binding force that holds the nucleus together. It is said that the mutual electrostatic repulsion between the like-positive protons would drive the nucleus apart if it were not for the “strong force” which binds the nucleus together. If we can say that God is the strong force then 2 Peter 3:10 makes good sense. “But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a loud noise and the elements (atoms) will be dissolved with fire and the earth and the works that are upon it will be burned up.” In Greek word stoicheion means the building blocks of the universe translated elements or the ordered arrangement of things. It can also mean the atomic elements. The word dissolved can also be translated unloosed. So letting go of the nucleur binding force that holds the nucleus together will result in the burning up of the atoms. This passage suggests that the active power of God is behind the strong force that holds every atomic nucleus together. And if this is so, why wouldn’t all the other fundamental forces of nature likewise do the same. They all originate with Christ and His sustaining power. Another important claim of Scripture and concerning creation is that God is the present Sustainer of the universe. That is, He is not uninvolved, remote, detached and impersonal, leaving things to run by themselves. Scripture clearly states that all that we know, seen or unseen, is held together by His power. God is very much involved in His creation. God is all powerful, unlimited, almighty - omnipotent. God is all knowing. God knows everything – omniscient. God is present everywhere at the same time - omnipresent. The mystery of the Bible is a divine truth that is too profound for mere man to discover and comprehend without help from the Holy Spirit within. We are even told that in these latter days that knowledge will increase and that God will pour out His spirit on His people. We are also told in these latter days that there will be a great falling away. If Joshua were alive today, he would make his famous shout, “Choose you this day whom you will serve.” Joshua 24:15 KJV “And if it seems evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood (the fallen angels and their offspring), or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell (again the Amorite King was Og of Bashan, the last of the giants who were the offspring of human women and fallen angels. Also called the dispossessed people-spiritually impoverished-the same people that God destroyed in the first world.) There is no hope for eternal life for these people. Their bloodline is polluted by the fallen angels from the first world. This is tough teaching, but it is the Word of God that many people shun. God is bringing this entire world down to a Valley of Decision and mankind will choose either God’s way or man’s way. Satan’s time is short. He is the deceiver and he will influence all that he can. In Revelation God says that He wants us either cold or hot, but if we are lukewarm He will spew us out of His mouth. This is that Valley of Decision. Cold is atheism. Hot is a Christian on fire for the Lord and trying to tell people the gospel of Jesus. Lukewarm is a Christian that doesn’t know God’s word and doesn’t care to read the Bible. They are a Christian in name only, but their fruits are evil. They do every evil that the unbeliever does and they do not fear God. They even think they are a good person, but they are far, far from the Lord. Christ promises that He will say to some – I never knew you. _____________________________________________________ If there was one thing I could do in my life, what would it be and why? I would have learned Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. Three biblical languages. One song that describes my life. This is a tough one. I like the song “Open the Eyes of My Heart Lord” by MercyMe, I like Elvis singing “How Great Thou Art” – Neither describe my life. Probably Dolly Parten’s “Working 9 to 5 Tryin’ to Make a Livin’ except I worked 7:30 to 7:00 many days. I had a million diplomas to get to schools and universities by commencement dates. $10,000 – I would like to visit Jerusalem, Israel, The Holy Land |
