Yeah, it is...but of course, the general view of British newspapers and the public is that exams have dumbed down so much that I should be able to get A* easily without the need of the hard work that I'm going to put into it, therefore it's likely that I wouldn't have worked hard for it at all - and since exams are so easy we'll leave school a lot more stupid than we ought to be and it's a known but unreported 'fact' that half of British school leavers are illiterate and innumerate...

The evidence of this? Increasing grade pass rates over the years - of course, this isn't due to better teachers or smarter pupils but grade inflation and slipping standards in school!

I apologise for this sudden rant, but the attitude some people have towards British students really pisses me off!
