Roxiie,
I've heard the library is a great place to find men. LOL. Sometimes I even clip pics out of junk mail or catalogs that I get. You just never know when one will come in handy. Of course, depending on your genre or place in time, you may need to imagine them in different clothes, etc., but it still gives me a basic "look" of my character - and, like I said, then my characters are actually "looking at me" all the time, begging me to tel their story.
Does anyone here ever start with just an ending? I've done that before - not on purpose, of course. It just happened. I had a basic idea and some basics for my characters. I knew how the novel was supposed to end, and I kind of worked backwards and jumped around quite a bit until I got it all down. That, to me, is where storyboarding and novel-writing software really comes in handy!
