Thanks guys I'm feeling more positive since that grumpy post, but that's just an attitude change, the situation hasn't actually changed! I guess it's tough for everyone at the moment, and I'm very lucky to be able to live with my parents - but it doesn't feel like luck when all I want to do is be independent! Good to know I'm not the only one who has this situation to cope with.
