What would you like us to call you?
Ali, but my pen name is Alexandra Jones, so if you ever see that in my port... now you know why.

Are you female or male?
Female, which is actually an important distinction since I've had a few people ask me if I was a male from the Middle East. Nope! I've got the boring American, white-girl version.

How old are you?
21

Do you have a spouse? Siblings? Children?
No spouse or children. I have two siblings: a 31 year-old sister and a 16 year-old brother. They are two of my best friends.

How did you find Writing.Com?
Hmm, I think I have trusty Google to thank for that one!

How did you find "I.N.K.E.D." ?
The lovely Riot told me about the group and invited me to join.



Writing Questions

Who are your favorite authors?
Oh I have so many, but just a few are: Leo Tolstoy, Jane Austen, Garth Nix, Tamora Pierce, J.K. Rowling, & Suzanne Collins.

What type of writing is your passion?
It really is dependent on the particular story, but usually fantasy and romance inspire me the most.

What genres are you interested in writing? (Or reading?)
The genres that I read and write the most are Fantasy, Young Adult, & Romance. However, I am interested in expanding my horizons and reading and writing new genres.

What do you hope most to gain by being an active member on this site?
New friends who I can share the sometimes solitary pursuit of writing with. And, of course, honest and helpful reviews.

What's one thing about this site that you like so far?
The positive energy. Everyone is so helpful and encouraging; it is extremely inspiring.

What are some things you feel other members may be able to help you with?
I love it when people really find the flaws in my plot and characters. Those are the things that I am constantly trying to improve upon, so honest critiques are always appreciate.

If you could give one piece of writing advice, what would it be?
Read, read, and read some more. Good writers are good readers first and foremost. We learn through osmosis.

What's the best piece of writing advice you've ever received?
Write what you don't know. We have imagination for a reason; often that human element is all we need to create a fantastic story that has nothing to do with our own lives.

If you had only 24 hours to live, what would you do?
It probably sounds boring, but I'd just want to spend the day at home with my family, laughing and playing. Oh, and a good bit of snuggling my kitten.

If there was one thing you could do in your life you can't right now, for whatever reason, what would it be and why?
Go to college.

This probably changes often, but I would say.... Do by Do Make Say Think

If you could spend $10,000 dollars on anything you wanted, what would you do with it?
Spend the money on moving to Hawaii.
