[Antonius carries the message from under the stone and approaches Joseph who has a look of worry on his face. Rufus is plodding beside Joseph as if protecting him from any stranger who may come near. The group is traveling to the home of Nicodemus after being invited to dine there with Jesus and his disciples.]

Fear not, Joseph. The message is safe. It is here and not in the hands of our enemies. I see Rufus has decided to be your protector. You look tired, my friend. I'm sure Rufus would be delighted if you were to ride upon him for a while.

[Rufus lowers himself to the ground and allows Joseph to settle on his back.]
Mauuughh...aaaaghaaa..

I read the message. It seems as though Caiaphas has his own agenda in his desire to keep things just as they are. Jesus' authority over the Sanhedrin and His knowledge of the true, uncorrupted Law is becoming more apparent as He teaches His message of love and salvation.

The Roman authority here has mocked Jesus and His followers and they seem to be under the impression that all this talk of miracles and eternal life will simply go away, just as they made John 'go away'. But the message under the stone is correct. John's words have not gone away.

[They approach their destination and Antonius helps Joseph dismount Rufus.]

I am eager to see Jesus again as we dine in the safety of the house of Nicodemus. I would like to get to know his disciples who are always with him. They seem to be completely devoted to their beloved Rabbi, yet there is a look of worry among them.
