A nice pod of p's. Reminds me of the Flannery O'Connor quote: "Everywhere I go, I'm asked if I think the universities stifle writers. My opinion is that they don't stifle enough of them."
Ted Kooser notes that the audience for poetry is primarily other poets. General readers find poetry too complicated and scary. I went to a local reading group meeting several weeks ago when they were doing a share your favorite poem night. They more or less agreed with him.
