I received a review request from someone once who started out letting me know that she'd been accepted into an MFA program in writing. I assured her that all studies indicated that with serious effort and rehab, such situations could ultimately be overcome and one might still retain a measure of talent on the other side. Then I explained why her piece was self-indulgent crap.

Didn't hear back.
