Friend, I have seen some of you pray and I have also observed that after you seem to have such peace. I have prayed to our gods, as the need arose. I have only prayed for things that I want or feel I need. I am afraid that it was always a futile exercise for I really did not believe that any god would actually answer my prayer. It did not give me any comfort.

I would like to learn how to pray as you do. It means something to you and it meant something to Jesus, as the story from Joe shared. Perhaps I am tired, or not thinking right due to lack of sleep and food and comfort, but I would like to pray to the God of the Jews, the father of Jesus. Your prayers comfort you, friend, I want that comfort. Will you show me?
