Day 15
by Budroe Author IconMail Icon
Hello, Adventurers!

I urge you all to rest, and get your fill of the excellent repast which has just been provided us. We will be leaving our present position tomorrow morning, and beginning our travels. Our first stop has been determined by my associates, who have brought both happy and tragically sad news.

Jesus has been seen, right here! He has returned from the Wilderness, and has been ministering and baptizing alongside John! When I saw him, he looked very much upset. I was forced to tell him some very bad news.

His friend, and ours, even John the Baptizer, has been arrested by the Guards of the Temple. Evidently this order came directly from King Herod Himself! I personally believe Herod to have no ill-will towards our friend. But, the same surely cannot be said for his brothers, or his wife! I do fear for his life.

Also, if you remember, there were many soldiers here a few days ago? They came because a man of unknown origin attacked and killed one of their number. I do not know him personally, but they say he is called "Barabbas". Do any of you know of him? Could you share with us who he is, and why he would do such an insane act here, in the nation of Israel?

I have no doubt that, after months of both John and Jesus ministering and baptizing within our nation, everyone is disturbed and dismayed by their results. People are leaving the Temple in droves! So many have been baptized that both John and Jesus, who has been ministering for a time with John, have been calling the lost of Israel to the River. Now, with John in jail, what will we do?

When Jesus heard of John's imprisonment, he decided immediately to journey to Galilee. I wish to follow Him. This cave have been a welcome safe harbor, but, to be quite honest, its smell is getting to my genteel olfactory sensors. Whew! (Waves hand)

So let us dine well, rest well, and speak well of these things this nite. Tell me, what do you think of the message I found under my stone  Open in new Window. today? Share your thoughts with us here. We have much to learn, and it is now time to travel with the Master. Be of good cheer! The Adventure Continues!

Let Lent LIVE!
