Re: Day 10

Is Jesus about to embark on such a fast as described in your ancient scrolls? I noticed when he emerged from the baptismal waters of the Jordan, he entered into the desert. I could see quite clearly that he carried nothing with him. No tent, no unleavened bread. Not even a skin of water did he have on his shoulder. I heard John refer to Jesus as "the lamb of god" who takes away the sins of the world." Lambs are for slaughter, to be consumed or sacrificed to the gods, or in your case, to your one god. Is this Jesus, this son of god, only here to be cleansed in baptism and then to be slaughtered in the desert as a lamb for this Jewish nation? I truly do not understand your prophets or your god. For what purpose would this serve? He has barely spoken. How can he save a nation without delivering a message of redemption? His fate lies within that cruel desert. I know from experience, he will not survive.
