Law, law, law, letter of the law! While I have my own doubts unlike my brother does about this John, I am so tired of the Priests and Levites of Jerusalem adhering and expecting all to adhere to the "Law".

You know the people of my land are generous, boldly independant, a simple people. Some would accuse those of my land of neglecting traditions.

The "Word" and the "Law" should be the same, but somehow I doubt God is happy if I adhere to the "Law" while allowing the good of one to go lacking.


What to do? What to do? I hear the words of this John and I think "YES! He knows whereof he speaks. Then I consider it more and wonder is he just a false prophet?

The Pharisaic scholars think those of my country to be insufficiently concerned about the details of Jewish observance-for example, the rules of Sabbath rest. But I ask you, do you let one die instead of helping if he take ill on the Sabbath?

Yes, the words of this John do ring true, but again the law has been law for a long time...

All I desire to do is the right thing. Yes, my word is me, more than that my word should bring Glory unto God.
