This is a 900ish word story, and I'd like to submit it to a contest. I would love another pair of eyes. My main area of concern is the fact that it is about a sailor. I am in the military and have been for a while, so I don't want my piece to only be understood by those who've served. Any thoughts on that would be greatly appreciated.
