The WDC NanoLounge

Well, this last sidetrack was completely beyond my ability to foresee or head off. My youngest and I spent the entire evening last night battling a nasty fever and then all afternoon in an Urgent Care facility to find out he had strep throat. Oh, goody. Needless to say, I got nothing written the past 2 days. I'm rather upset by that, but I've taken many naps due to the fact I've been keeping odd hours to make sure his temperature never went above 102. As a matter of fact, I just woke up from one. I'm "looking" at my own sniffy nose and sore throat with trepidation and hoping that doesn't mean I also caught it somewhere along the line. If it hasn't passed by Monday, I'm taking myself to the doctor.

So, needless to say, I think my NaNo "win" has been tossed out the window. However, I've decided to not let that fact deter me too much. I'm still interesting in seeing how this book turns out, so I will continue writing on it as my sick child allows. Okay, and as my own screwed up sleep schedule allows. In the end, I hope to still at least pass 40K and still meandering along even after November is over.
