A nano place to chat about NanoWrimo... |
You know what? It really doesn't matter how many words are in the file. What matters is what you get out of them. If the story is fun, and you like the people in it, it doesn't matter if they take a while to do the things they're going to do. NaNo is a great exercise, but I think it's a mistake to let concerns over word count ruin your experience with the story. Sure, we all want to win, but in this case, winning is not the only thing. Or at least, that's what I'm telling myself. Just like you and many of the others who've answered your post, It's slow-going getting my flow going. I've been sick, my son's been sick, life gets in the way all over the place, but you know what? I'm still having fun! as long as you are, too, don't sweat it! The only failed story is an abandoned one. Best regards, Greg ** Image ID #1632402 Unavailable ** |
