Fountain of Knowledge

Hi everyone!

I'm just a newbie to this site, but saw this forum and thought I could perhaps be of some use.

Firearms tend to appear quite frequently in stories, be it military or historical fiction, sci-fi, mystery, or crime thrillers. I know when I'm reading something, few things take me out of a story like glaring or obvious factual errors, but I realize what may be obvious to me is not so much for others, just as I'm fairly ignorant when it comes to other areas of specialty.

I'd like to offer up myself as somewhat of an expert on the subject of firearms. I'd be happy answer any questions you might have on different types, usage, correct terminology, or tactics. I am in the Army, as well, and have a good base of information on military equipment, tactics, or procedures.
