Excellent points Katz. I never thought of the personification of the devil within the evil in Missy's death.
I think another great point of the book is that we need to forgive in order to heal. Forgiving the unforgivable is a joyous act. It reminds me of the stories of some Jewish sufferers of the Holocaust when they met and forgave their guards and torturers.
Forgiving is a gift to ourselves. Hmm, isn't that strange? I never really noticed that forgiving is a compound of the words for and give. How could I not have seen that?
Another A-HA moment.
Fantastic.
Can't have too many of those!
