Old Friends Are Best
Early on, I fell in love with Science Fiction so my oldest friends are:

"Stranger in a Strange Land" by Robert A. Heinlein (13+)

"Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card (13+)

Later, my tastes broadened and found newer friends in:

Kay Scarpetta series - Patricia Cornwell (13+)

The Harry Potter Series (sorry, can't pick one *Smile*) - J.K. Rowling (13+)

My last - and latest - friend is:

"Warped Passages: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Universe's Hidden Dimensions" - Lisa Randall (E - NonFiction)

I hope my old friends will welcome you as warmly as they did me.
