Crossroads: Crystal Fire & Desert Blood

Okay. I've just taken an entire afternoon and avoided my schoolwork by finishing reading through Crystal Fire and officially deciding to take up Ravin's reigns there. The question is: Where exactly is it going next?

We're basically tying up the pieces of the assassination investigation and kidnapping attempt, but as everyone has basically only just finished recovering, there isn't any really obvious direction. Jaara's got the name of the servant within the palace (likely, in my mind, the one Hamen, it looks like, killed) but as far as a next step, there doesn't seem to be much obviousness, and as long as it's been since I've had a chance to sit and chat with anyone, I'm looking for input before I get to writing. We've had a few theories as to what's next, but I'll be damned if my brain has held a good grasp of any of them with all the book-lernin' that's been swirling around me recently.

I'm going to be out of town for Valentine's Day weekend *sighs happily* so I'm hoping to be able to get the writing done either Wed or Thurs, as tomorrow is going to be busy already just with school and work.

So, in short (almost), ideas?
