They think that young is opposite of old.
I tell them no, but they are sold
on youth, no matter that it's relative,
and they may die tonight, while I might live
another fifty years, my age today but young
in span of life, and their short years all sung
in dirges at the grave. They want to argue
still but lose with one apt question
they always answer with perfection
(for no one can refute that age is absolute):
I say, "How old are you?"
