We like it hot and sexy! |
Max - Your story stuck with me, which is good. As I re-read it in my mind, one more question arose. It's not a real problem, just a motivation that I would love to have clarified. At the end, he proposes to Sandra that they go to Sedona. When I read that, I accepted it easily. It was his natural reaction to the hot guy going there. But as I pondered it, several thoughts occurred to me, all making me wonder why he invited her to come along. 1) He has made it clear that he still loves Victoria and hopes she comes back. If she did reappear in his life, it sure would look awful (and perhaps lead to extreme pain if not divorce) if she found that he vacationed in Sedona with her sister! Would he take such a chance? 2) His motive for going is to be closer to this guy. Wouldn't Sandra just get in the way? Or is she to be his 'straight' cover? 3) He has made it fairly clear that he no longer has any real interest in reviving their relationship. He didn't even want to go to dinner or shopping with her. So what accounts for his sudden interest in taking a vacation with her? If you could come up with a short stretch of dialog to clarify his motivation for the invitation, that would help a lot. Maybe he could begin with wondering out loud if he should go there, and then Sandra talks him into taking her, giving him a good reason.
