I'm with Tara in that I have to have music to block out all the other distractions. I do soundtracks a lot. Last year my novel was in the 1930s so it was mostly jazz. I don't think I listened to so much jazz in my life, but now I regularly turn it on. Go fig! This year my novel is contemporary and includes a lot of high-action sports scenes so I'm even resorting to some trance, hip-hop, rock - adrenaline-pumping music. Goes well with Venti coffee from Starbucks! *Bigsmile*
